Brionvega, one of the highlights of Art of Noise, the major exhibition at the Cooper Hewitt on the role of design in music listening over the past hundred years, featuring over 300 works spanning graphics, audio technology, and immersive installations.

In this context, the Brionvega radiofonografo stands out as an emblematic example of Italian design, symbolizing a vision where artisanal craftsmanship and aesthetic value meet in perfect harmony.

100 Anni Vicini e Lontani

Palazzo Dosi Delfini – Rieti, Italy (2025)

The exhibition 100 Years: Near and Far celebrates a century of radio history, exploring its technological evolution, cultural role, and changing forms. Radio is presented as a central element of Italian society, capable of informing, entertaining, and inspiring entire generations.

A section of the exhibition is dedicated to iconic radio designs and features a selection of products, including:

  • radio.cubo 50° – original design by Richard Sapper and Marco Zanuso

  • radiofonografo rr226 – original design by Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni

  • totem rr231 – orginal design by Mario Bellini

A scale model of the radiocubo also hosts a dedicated listening station, offering visitors an immersive experience that brings design and sound into dialogue.

Arte e Design. Design è Arte

MA*GA Museo – Gallarate, Italy (2025)

Originally conceived by Philippe Daverio in 2009 and revisited on the occasion of the thirtieth anniversary of the Design department at MA*GA, the exhibition Art and Design. Design is Art explores the relationship between visual arts and design from the post-war period to the end of the 20th century.

The exhibition intertwines artistic research and industrial design, highlighting the spirit of innovation that defined the era. Among the works on display, the Brionvega radiofonografo stands out as a symbol of experimentation and visionary design.

Gae Aulenti exhibition

Triennale Milano – Milan, Italy (2025)

The major retrospective dedicated to Gae Aulenti (1927–2012) traces over sixty years of the career of one of the most influential figures in contemporary architecture and design. The exhibition explores her work across architecture, exhibition design, interior design, graphic design, and scenography.

Through life-size reconstructed environments and original archival materials, the show conveys the lasting impact of her work both in Italy and internationally. Among the pieces on display is the radiofonografo rr226.

Molto Bello: Icons of Modern Italian Design

Heide Main Galleries & Heide Modern – Melbourne, Australia (2025)

Molto Bello tells the story of 20th-century Italian design, from the early Milan Triennials of the 1930s to the radical experiments of the 1980s. The exhibition celebrates the international success of Italian design, born from craftsmanship, industrial innovation, and creative spirit.
